Squeee!

I am much to old to be squeeing about this but...

...I just appeared on the news with Jason Donovan!


He came to donate £30k to the Children's Hospital, and I was stickybeaking on the press melee, when they were presenting a cheque and wanted people for the background. Someone said 'let's get some doctors in here', and as the only one in the room (no-one had told us this was happening, and I happened to walk past), i got pushed forward. I ended up standing next to JD and grinning at the cameras.

Said he (hearing my accent): Where in Aus are you from then?
Me: Melbourne
He: All the best people come from there.

And, because it was true I said: We were big fans of MDA, my medical student friends and I
He: I bet you were! Bet you didn't like me though, I was a bit hard core.

So now I have to check the local papers to see if I'm famous.

I did, I did! I was very cool. (In fact, as I was leaving work, one of the nurses said she thought I 'handled the press very well'. Well, you know, some people just have to.)
