Good news bad news
Apr. 21st, 2009 11:23 pmGood news: We had a lovely weekend - first punting and pimms of the season, and a meatfest barbeque at Untold Blessings.
shanith controls the weather and brought us sun
Bad news: On Sunday when I tried to go to the supermarket, my car wouldn't move. Despite the handbrake lever releasing, it was as though the brakes were stuck on. Excellent. Can not even drive car to garage.
Good news: the recovery service will move the car to garage
Bad news: garage won't be able to look at it till Tuesday.
Good news: the rear brakes and brake shoes were replaced 9 months ago under a 12 month warranty
Bad news: the warranty expires after 12000 miles. I have done 12800 in 9 months.
Good news: there is a bus that will get me to work, which is 50 miles away
Bad news: it takes 2 hours to get from home to work, and costs £30.
Good news: I can study on the bus
Bad news: after many many years, I have finally learned how to be travel sick while reading.
Good news: the brakes have spontaneously started working
Bad news: only after being transported to the garage.
Good news: the brakes don't need replacing
Bad news: How do I know it won't happen again???
Good news: After August 5 I can be car free! And garage person thinks car is actually good and will live for many years
