Very sensible. You need to be awake for the evening's excitements!

this was in fact the major reason. Feel like a post-theatre pint?

Hope so! There may well be internship interview related stress which might involve me dashing back to my office, but since it's meters from the Playhouse... argh. Erk.

Shame you missed it, but I guess I can throw no stones about not wanting to miss sleep. Hope you had a nice evening though. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow

Yes, I feel guilty having encouraged others to go. Evening was rubbish, but tonight should be lovely. Yay for punting!!!

Yeah, last night I knew that feeling. Just like last year I couldn't do my university's traditional May Day celebration because I needed to do a lot of work then sleep. (we do the 'May Dip': students go down to one of the beaches at 4am and then jump into the North Sea once it hits dawn. It's crazy but oddly fun.)

Yegads! The scots are mad! (And it sounds awesome)
Actually, there is a much more dangerous oxford 'tradition' of jumping off magdalen bridge into the (shallow, PUNTABLE) Cherwell below and breaking limbs/spines. A sacrilege, when you consider that Miss Vane and Lord Peter once graced those waters!

I can only describe the sight as, well, rather satanic.

The Scots are crazy, oh yes indeed. There's always an ambulance on stand-by.
A sacrilege, when you consider that Miss Vane and Lord Peter once graced those waters! Indeed!
